I the God of Israel will not forsake them. ġ7 n When the poor and needy seek water ,Īnd their tongue is parched with thirst , In the Holy One of Israel you shall glory. You shall thresh j the mountains and crush them ,Īnd you shall make the hills like chaff ġ6 k you shall winnow them, and l the wind shall carry them away , ġ5 i Behold, I make of you a threshing sledge , Your h Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. I am the one who helps you, declares the L ord ġ1 d Behold, all who are incensed against youġ2 e You shall seek those who contend with you , I will uphold you with c my righteous right hand. I will strengthen you, I will help you , Z I have chosen you and not cast you off ” ĩ you whom I took from the ends of the earth , Saying of the soldering, “ It is good ” Īnd they strengthen it with nails x so that it cannot be moved. Have you not heard ?Īnd to him who has no might he increases strength. G He who brings out their host by number , That I should be like him ? says the Holy One. When he blows on them, and they wither ,Į and the tempest carries them off like stubble. Scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth , Ģ4 Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown , Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth ?Ģ2 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth ,Īnd its inhabitants are b like grasshoppers Ĭ who stretches out the heavens like a curtain ,Īnd spreads them like a tent to dwell in Īnd makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness. Has it not been told you from the beginning ? Ģ0 z He who is too impoverished for an offering They are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness. ġ7 w All the nations are as nothing before him , Nor are v its beasts enough for a burnt offering. ġ2 q Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his handĮnclosed the dust of the earth in a measureġ3 r Who has measured 7 the Spirit of the L ord ,Īnd showed him the way of understanding ?ġ5 Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket ,Īnd are accounted t as the dust on the scales īehold, he takes up u the coastlands like fine dust. The Greatness of Godġ0 l Behold, the Lord G od comes with might ,ġ1 n He will tend his flock like a shepherd Īnd gently lead those that are with young. When the breath of the L ord blows on it Ĩ j The grass withers, the flower fades ,īut the word of our God will stand forever. ” The Word of God Stands ForeverĪnd all its beauty 4 is like the flower of the field. Īnd every mountain and hill be made low ĥ g And the glory of the L ord shall be revealed , That she has received from the L ord ’s handĭ “ In the wilderness prepare the way of the L ord Į make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ” Comfort for God’s PeopleĤ0 z Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. ” For he thought, y “ There will be peace and security in my days. ” 8 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “ The word of the L ord that you have spoken is good. 7 x And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. ”ĥ Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “ Hear the word of the L ord of hosts : 6 w Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. There is nothing in my storehouses that I did not show them. ” 4 He said, “ What have they seen in your house ? ” Hezekiah answered, “ They have seen all that is in my house. 3 Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “ What did these men say ? And from where did they come to you ? ” Hezekiah said, “ They have come to me from a far country, from Babylon. v There was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them. And he showed them his treasure house, u the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious oil, his whole armory, all that was found in his storehouses. 39 s At that time Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, t sent envoys with letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that he had been sick and had recovered.
